As with most places, there are some stamps and first day covers that become more valuable than others. For Jersey and Guernsey first day covers a lot of people like to collect those produced under the German WW2 occupation and some of these can prove very valuable.

Many other collectors focus on the older victorian and Edwardian postal history of the islands where postmark identification is usually the giveaway about the Channel Islands connection.

The Channel Islands are certainly a popular specialisation among philatelists but it's a little difficult to say which covers are valuable and which are less so.
