PHP Script - Add eBay Listings to Your Website Pages

Here's a PHP script to insert eBay listings (your own or other peoples) in to any PHP web page. This article shows a demonstration of the script in action together with details of all the features.

Among its many features, this simple to install and run script can be set to show eBay Partner Network affiliate links or, as in the example below, non-affiliate links.

This demo of the script is set up as follows:

Site Target: The demonstration pulls listings from eBay.co.uk but the script will work for eBay.com (US), eBay.ca (Canada) in addition to the UK site.

Links: The listings in the demonstration are NOT eBay affiliate links. The script only shows affiliate links once an ePN campaign ID has been entered.

Category: This demo script is set up to pull listings from the clocks category on eBay UK. The script can be set up to target any category just by entering the category number.

Keyword: The demo searches the clock category using the keyword "Walnut". As you can see only walnut clocks are returned in the demo listings. The script can be set up to search by any keyword.

Number of listings: The demo is set to show 4 listings although the script can show any number of listings up to 100.

Target Window: Clicking the links in the demo will result in the eBay listing being opened in a new window. The script can also be set to open eBay listings in the same window.

Min & Max Prices: The script is set to show clocks priced between £100 and £150 only in the above demo. Users can set the script to pull items according to any minimum or maximum price (must be a whole number).

Specific Seller: The demo above shows clocks from any seller but the script can be set to show only listings from one seller. This allows sellers who may not be interested in the ePN affiliate program to display their own listings using natural eBay links within their own websites.

Custom ID: For ePN affiliates this allows you to enter a custom ID within links to help track performance.

Hidden URLs: Because lengthy affiliate links can look offputting to many visitors, the script is set to hide the listing's URL from showing in some browsers during mouseover.

The script produces plain, unstyled HTML meaning your display will follow your own site format and CSS etc. As sellers on eBay vary in the use of capital letters in item titles, the script automatically makes all item titles appear uniform, as the demo shows, by converting them to uppercase.

This is a small single page script which also contains full commented instructions on set up and how to call the script to display in your website's pages.

Server Requirements: PHP5 (or later) is needed to run the script.
